I was in line to order pizza at the time (or at least walking to the building), but I was told that they didn't make it onto the broadcast.

I hope that I'm wrong, though.

I watched the whole pre-game hoping, but alas they never showed them at all. Must have cut to commercial. Imagine that on Super Bowl Sunday, a commercial.

I happned to have the TV on (not a sports fan at all, but I've actually watched a good deal of the game) and on CBS pregame show they showed about 30 sec or so of the band playing an armed forces medely and you could hear the band playing during some of the pre-game commentary. Sounded pretty good.

When I was in the now defunct 19th Army Band at Fort Dix, New Jersey, I had the opportunity to play for:
New York Giants
New York Jets
Philadelphia Eagles
New Jersey General (USFL)
and whatever the USFL team was in Philadelphia...

Not one of these appearances was televised and that was 20-25 years ago. They don't want to show band half-time shows on the NFL.

I could have sworn I saw them on the field just before a commercial break, but never really heard them play...

They were on the field the whole time Simms and Gumbel were talking about the game. No real sound.

Hey All, We were told that it would be a commercial as were were marching out to the fifty yard line and being set up with mics. Then as we played that it would in fact be televised. As most of you know we were background to whoever was talking. We did receive one heck of a response from the crowd there in the stadium and we were lucky in that we did not get soaked until after we changed out of uniform.

I must have missed it. I left the room once during a commercial, hurried back to the talking heads but never saw the band.
