I have a PT-605. It is a fine instrument. It plays a lot like a Miraphone 191 (which I once owned by disposed of because of its ergonomics and its tendency to break-up when the volume increased above a ff). The instruments centers very well and the Gb at the top of the register is in tune, making it the first BBb I have owned that has this distinction. It does not have the overpowering sound of, say a Willson 3100 which I also own and use in the ensembles where the number of trumpets with too much testosterone out number the tubas 16 to 1, but it works well in more modest size ensembles. It is very easy to articulate the notes cleanly. Finally, the valves are spectacular, working very smoothly. This is ostensibly due to the B&S redesign.
