Hi, was it the tuba player who played the Bydlo solo?

Yes, Alan Baer played the solo in Bydlo, on his Firebird F and GW F mouthpiece.

i suggest not going straight there.. this is a pretty cool recording as a whole.. alessi sounds.. like one would expect him to.

Yes. I heard the concert on Feb. 2nd, and it was the regular section: Alessi, Finlayson, Harwood, Baer.

i was able to make the saturday night performance. any thoughts or opinions on the salonen piano concerto? (or were you not paying attention, as there was no tuba?

)
