Brad Haag, who accompanied Alan Baer on his latest CD and played on Pokorny's "Big Boy" CD was on "Jeopardy" today and won. He will be on tomorrow's show as well. Speaking for myself, I now know where the IQ of the tuba stand stops and the piano bench starts. Northern

I'll take "Will accompany tuba solos for food!" for $1,000

What a tease.

I read the topic and thought, "Baer and Pokorny did a duet called 'Jeopardy'??? Who cares who the accompanist is. I want to know where to find the CD and the sheet music!!"

No, I'm sorry. The correct answer is, "What is a gullible moron?"

I wonder how Zubin Mehta would do if he want on Jeopardy? He has that photographic memory, which I'm sure gives anyone an advantage.

Jeopardy redux

He went down, came in second to a very good player. He did extremely well the first round, but the second half's topics seemed to be a lot better for the other guy, plus he missed a couple big $ clues while the other guy didn't miss much at all. Winning that second game can be tough, especially if you aren't in the lead going into FJ.

Having tried out for the show five times (I actually made it the first time, but since I was an employee of CBS at the time I was declared ineligible), I enjoy hearing about news of Jeopardy. It's probably the only American TV quiz show that doesn't have a Vietnamese counterpart.

A tubist won the tournament of champions back in 1999. Dave Abbott, a lawyer/tubist from Cincinnati won the 100k tournament. He qualified by winning 5 nights in a row.

He is a 1979 graduate of CCM.

You know.. I had always wondered the identity of "jeopardymaster". After you passed me a gig, I did a little research on who might be calling me. Cool for you!

I barely have the mental capacity to play whole notes on the tuba without incinerating more precious brain cells! Luckily, I don't need brain cells to play back up jazz charts to crappy vocalists here at work!
