There are many computer programs out there that will slow down recorded music without affecting pitch. These are most helpful in transcribing from recorded music.

I do not have the website handy, but a good free one is called Wave Pad.

You can slow down without altering pitch and a million other things it seems.

Do a search, there are many soureces to download this.

Neuratron has a package that might be what you are looking for.

A friend of mine uses intelliscore to convert CD audio to midi then he can throw that into Finale for editing. He says it's pretty accurate but my experience with midi has been awful. Here's the website.
