Aldo Forte, recently retired composer from the USAF Heritage of America Band in Virginia composed a wonderful piece entitled "Tableaux" for this precise instrumentation. It was recorded on the band's disc of the same name. Check out http://www.aldoforte.com for more information.

Hope this helps

I played a double quintet piece by Vincent Persichetti a few years ago called something like Serenade No. 1, Op. 1 for Ten Wind Instruments It was quite a sight to see a brass quintet and a woodwind quintet combined into a single row: fl-ob-cl-hrn-bsn-tb-trb-hrn-trp-trp. It felt pretty weird to be playing with a brass quintet like that but it was a great experience!

quintet #2:

1st trumpet (C) part - oboe
2nd trumpet (C) part - flute
horn part - horn
trombone part (Bb) part - (bass) clarinet
tuba/euphonium part - bassoon
Is that a different arrangement than the one I've usually played, in which quartet # 1 is 3 trumpets and trombone while quartet #2 is 2 horns, euph, tuba?
