I can't speak in reference to the loud or pt88, but the stainless in general is softer.

I play an Al Baer euro C, and the sound and response is great. The only problem i have is how the inner edge slopes in a tiny bit, it makes the edge even sharper. My chops wear out a lot quicker. I know they say because of the stainless steel they can create sharper rims with less endurance problems, but i really wish they would make one with a round rim so i could really compare the difference between ss and silverplate.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get G&W (or another company) to custom make ss mp's?

cheers

In reference to my last post. To be more specific, if i could get a different shaped rim on the Al Baer it would be the most awesome mp!
