Cimbasso bark like dog. Make head hurt. Ears painful. Light fading when play.

See USDA warnings before combining with musical instruments.

I've only performed on a borrowed Rudy Meinl F cimbasso and I've been very happy with its sound/weight for Verdi. If I was going to buy a cimbasso I think I'd probably go with that model or at least that key, because I really like the way it blends with the trombones.

Going for a CC or BBb I think would make the sound too heavy to really sound like a big trombone, but that's just conjecture as I haven't used a larger cimbasso.
