As this one has, make sure of two things:
1) it has a diagonal brace that only lets the top unfold to horizontal, and won't let it droop, and isn't simply a pressed point in the metal center section that will wear out, and
2) the folding mechanism is bushed in some manner so it doesn't shear out with long term use.
Yes, when I'm gigging, it's much more convenient to take a folding stand rather than a Manhasset or similar.

I know you want a stand that will fold up small enough to fit in your bell... BUT.... you simply can't beat the Manhasset Voyager for durability. It's true that the Voyager desktop does not fold but the bag that is made for it is roomy enough for my music folders, Lampcraft concert light, mouthpiece pouch, and tuner.

I also carry a folding stand in my trunk at all times. One of those flimsy silver-looking things, but I rarely use it.
I have two Manhasset stands, one in my studio in West LA and one at home in Sherman Oaks. Whenever I know I'll be someplace where I plan on playing, I lug one or the other along. I just don't trust the tin-foil variety of stand.
My tubas don't trust them much either, as both have been damaged by the cheap type.

Baltimore Brass carry the Desca folding stand that uses the same base as their tuba rest. It's not cheap, but the B-Bone next to me has one and I'm jealous. Would definitely fit in my tuba bell if it didn't already have a BB tuba rest in it between rehearsals. http://www.descahome.com/musicstand.html
I have a Voyager that I use outdoors. Indoors I use a Petersen collapsible. It's a little on the light side against some outdoor breezes, but inside works great. Plus on this one is that it folds down to a size that fits into my euphonium gig bag (Altieri) or my tuba kit bag with the rest of my cra.., uh stuff. Petersen Stands http://www.petersendesigns.com/
Obviously YMMV

$100.00 for a folding music stand?
One might as well hire Bloke and Doc to hold up their music, one on each side. And you get the benfit of not having to worry about wind blowing them over too!
