Where to go in the Philly area after Gustafson leaves?

I was just wondering, because this summer I was thinking about having some work some to my horns, but he's packing up in April.

I was thinking Dillon's or BBC, but Gustafson was a 30 minute drive away in NW Philly. I'll probably try Dillon's.

Either Dillons or try Lenny Zapf who does tubas at Music and Arts in Pennsauken, NJ

Also, Ed Coles down at Regional Music in Millville, NJ is an excellent tech... I apprenticed there for a few years, and I'm sure he can do great work... Millville is a few miles down the highway, but would certainly be worth the trip... Also, if things haven't changed too much in the last 8 years(has it been that long already??) there is a great lil pub/restaurant next door to enjoy while in town... Best of luck!

Ah! the Oar House(pub) and the Oar Next Door(upscale restaurant)--very nice!

What? Taxes forcing a business out of country? Say it ain't so. The article mentions Jamie Capatch, a former student of mine who will be going with them. I've seen Brett in action - definitely a loss to the repair field.

I don't know about Pittsburgh, but he does play tuba. I followed him as the tubist in a local Civil War band and played with him one summer a few years ago. A nice player and a nice fellow.
