The 'Chief's Raincatcher?

Hi-
I have heard a rumor that the Chief's (Sousa Band tuba member John Kuhn) Raincatcher sousaphone with a beautiful engraved Native American in headdress on the bell was floating around somewhere in the Chicago area--I also have heard that it might be a Buescher, and not a Conn Raincatcher. Anyone seen this instrument or know of where it is? I'd love to see a pic of this instrument.
Thanks-
mark

The horn is not mine. Its owner is quite firm about not selling it.

You know, there is a picture of John Kuhn on the Internet of him playing a sousaphone in an ad for Conn, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I showed it to a tailor here in Vietnam and I had a copy of the suit he was wearing made for me!

I know the ad you're talking about. And that is some fine tailoring, indeed!

Great Picture Steve... Thanks for sharing! Do you happen to have more pics of this horn? We'd all love to see them...

Thanks, Tim :D

Oh, yeah -- the horn is great also!

I guess it's just the whole package: fine player, fine instrument, fine suit, etc.

A fine example to emulate all the way around.
