I have a GDR vintage B&S F, with detachable pipe. Mine is unmarked brass; I've seen others (smaller?) in nickel-silver.
Wondering if there is consensus among the community of PT-15 players & listeners:
Which mouthpipe do you prefer?
Do you use it exclusively, or switch for Orchestral vs Quintet vs Recital situations?
I'm looking to try/buy alternative MPipes if yours is idle.

Older PT-10s came with two removeable leadpipes (or mouthpipes).
I have owned an instrument that came with two removeable leadpipes, but it was not a PT-10. It was a Mirafone that looked just like a B&S, the original 181-5UF. I figured out which one worked best for me and I just used that one. For me, it was the smaller of the two.
I think that's what most people do.

I checked the B&S pics at Custom Music webpage, and it appears that the current PT-10 has a lead pipe that continues to angle up as it wraps along the bell.
For anyone interested in selling their spare, I would prefer pipes that are aligned more level as they cross the bell. Mine looks more like the PT-15 pic, even though it might be a PT-10. Thanks.

I'm really trying to prop up some pitches around C - E just above the bass clef before going to permanent forked fingerings.
I've been using a Schilke hybrid -- C4 cup, H-II rim, with a letter O throat. The shallow cup seems OK, maybe a tighter venturi is worth a try...
Mostly curious about what ever happens to all of those second pipes. Are they all in the dustbin, and all the same if most folks end up preferring the same one over the other as the best match to that horn...?? Starting with the same level configuration would simplify mounting/interchange issues that's all.
