Need to borrow a tuba in S.F. over Labor Day Weekend - HELP!

OK, seriously... I'm playing at the Wine Country Vintage Jazz Festival in Sonoma County, CA, during the Labor Day weekend - September 3-5. As it turns out, the flight case for my trusty Eb helicon is too big and heavy to check as baggage. My options right now are to ship it, or fly out there with my Yamaha F. I've never shipped anything round-trip, and I just got the creases removed from the F tuba that were left there after it's last flight. Neither option is too appealing.

If any of you West Coast residents are going to the festival, and wouldn't mind bringing a tuba for me to play on (especially if it's an Eb, but hey, beggars can't be choosers), let me know. I'm gonna miss my little, ugly helicon on this trip.

I'm with you there; it's not everyone's cup of tea, but this helicon has done me well the past few years. Got it from Steve Dillon a few years ago, and it's paid for itself a few times over.

I'm playing in the Buck Creek Jazz Band, they're based here in Virginia.
