The trumpet player is...

Post by Hiram »

If you are talking about the little ditties played between the breaks of the Dianne Reeme (sp?) show, then....the trumpeter is Maurice Andre playing the last movement of the Claude Bolling "Toot Suite." The movement is called Spirituelle. (Not really sure about the movement's position or name but I think it's correct). It's a really neat piece.

Blue Devils played it in '89 as a drum solo (with a soprano solo to start, and horn sections here & there and at the end) ;) :D

Ah, useless trivia....

About 8 years ago, NPR's All Things Considered had a theme song with several permutations; one was a tuba solo. That was well before I had a web account and I never got up enough gumption to send a letter to ask what it was. Anyone know?
