Just wondering - how many over-fifty-year-old female tuba players are out there? I rarely meet any other "oldies", although it is great to hear all the young women players.

One of my late starter tuba pupils is in her 60's!

I'm 49, and when I went to join my New Horizons band playing the euphonium, the conductor said "you play tuba?" and I am now the tuba player. I love it! Don't own one yet, but I am working on that.

I have a 70ish year old female student who attends the Mid Summer Musical Retreat every year.
