Dallas Symphony - Damnation of Faust

We heard the DSO and Chorus perform Damnation of Faust
last Saturday under the baton of Charles Dutoit. WOW!
What a powerful piece and performance. One of the best DSO performances we've heard. Dutoit is conducting the piece later this month with a few of the same soloists and the San Francisco symphony. A must see!

There were two tubas on stage in Dallas. Besides Matthew Good, does anyone know who played the second tuba? The program only listed Matthew. Thanks!

Hi,

I went to this concert on that same night, and it was amazing to say that least! I sent a pm to Mr. Good after the concert to find out who the second tuba player was, and he said his name is Jarrod Robertson. He is a master's student of Mr. Good at SMU.

I also went on saturday night it was two hours and ten minutes of nonstop excitement. Kudos to Matt Good on the good job and the second tuba player!

We are very fortunate to have an amazing symphony in Dallas keep up the good work!
