Curious as to which professional large ensemble(s) some of the students or not yet employed musicians are shooting for?

I am guessing that this poll is not meant for euphoniumists :)

BOOO!

This is all assuming that military bands and orchestras are the ONLY place you can make money playing your tuba or euph!

You dont have to be stuck in the back of the ensemble...

"large" is all relative... :D

In the case of orchestras'... "large" is the egos of the violin section!!

I knew someone would chime in on that point. You are absolutelly correct. I was asking the lemmings, like myself, which target(s) they have in their sites.

Not lemmings at all -- there is nothing wrong with living to lay it down amongst a great orch or band brass section -- in fact it may be one of the most rewarding types of playing...

...just not the only one...

It is ironic... we play the newest of instruments, but mostly play old music!!

BTW, congrats on the new bbs -- this is pretty cool. I can see myself wasting a lot of time here.

It's not meant for anyone over the age of 35, either.

For those over 35, I guess that would require the orchestral response?

I was shooting for the 18-34 demographic actually. Not to pick on the Old Farts or anything  .
