What more do you need? Your horn should be sufficient...I would think.

Love the vids!

Whenever I spell my name now I'm putting a slash right throught the o! Jøhn! Also, post more clips, Fnugg was great, my mom doesn't like me playing multiphonics though. (She won't tell me but I can tell by the look on her face) I'm buying it. Thanks for the vids!

I would think so, too -- had an opportunity to play a 1291 CC a couple of years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it! That horn shouldn't be an obstacle to you at all. The one I played had lightweight (euphonium) valve springs installed, and you might want to consider doing that with yours if the stiffness of the standard springs is a problem for you.

To the initiator of this thread, all I can say is, "I am not worthy." What a fantastic player and entertainer. What an imagination.

Practice. Read Oystein's tips on the website. He'll give you a blueprint. Find a way to make practicing a challenge and fun. Again, Oystein will give you some tips.

Listen to your teacher. Do what he or she says. Do lots of it.

Your CC is fine. Play it. Lots.

Remember the thread of last week on "what makes a tuba player?" Read it again. If you want to be a virtuoso recitalist, first you must be a recitalist.

Well if you don't want that CC, I'll GLADLY take it off of your hands!! :P If you want something, you have to work for it. And in the case of being labeled a "virtuoso", you'll have to work VERY hard. So don't wish, buddy, start practicing!! :D

Nice changes on the site. I really like the 'pop up' juke box. I've been listening to some tracks of the newest CD, "Danzas". I especially like the track, "Milonga del Angel", Piazzolla. This sounds better than Yo Yo Mah's rendition. Just beautiful!!

I've got to get this CD!

I really wish I could figure you out...

Ionel Dumitru is a name you should look into before you make comments like that.
