I know Paul Krzywicki is the Philly Phil tuba player now. If I remember, I will ask him when I see him in two weeks at camp in Saratoga (I can't wait!). They will actually be playing that piece again this season.

How about:

Principal trumpet: Gil Johnson
Principal horn: Mason Jones
Principal trombone: Henry "Hank" Charles Smith
Principal tuba: Abe Torchinsky

Second trombone it is. And I'll bet the aforementioned concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra was Anshel Brusilow, now the conductor of the University of North Texas Symphony and the Richardson Symphony Orchestras.
