Progressive Rock/Jazz Fusion Tuba
Last night I saw a fantastic concert by the Pan Metropolitan Trio, a jazz fusion/prog rock trio featuring Stefan Kac on tuba, as well as an excellent chapman stick player. I would like to thank Stefan for posting the show on Tubenet's upcoming events section. Does anyone know of any other bands that incorporate a tuba in this style. So far the closest thing I ever heard was Drums and Tuba, but in their prime they were more funk rock.

Jazz Fusion, yes. Progressive rock, no. Need more than a Chapman Stick to be Prog rock.
He is a very impressive artist nonetheless. And they are very good musicians.

Tom Heasley. He is more of the 'ambient' experimental genre, though. Ambient tuba can be found atDoes anyone know of any other bands that incorporate a tuba in this style.
