A friend lives next door to a former Brook Mays guy. He works in Plano, but I'm not sure where. PM me & I'll give you his name & cell #. He fixed a tuba for another tuba player in my community band.

Look up Eric Swanson in Hurst, TX. He has done all the major mods on my horns, including dent work. He is the bass trombone player, and is the go to guy for most of the professional brass players tha I know.
He took some dents out of a Sterling Bach 36 trombone, and it came back looking like a brand new horn.

Eric is not especially keen to work on tuba bells, they take up too much room and are heavy. But he does great work.

You might also look at Houghton Custom Horns. Vurl Bland does some repair there and is a working tuba player, so he has an affinity for doing tuba repair right. The other guys there are good, but Vurl's a tuba player.

There are a number of good guys around, depends on your location as to who you might call.

Tubashaman, glad you were at the performance, you should have come backstage and introduced yourself.

Playing with the Meyerson's Lay Family Organ makes you feel like a gnat trying to fly in a hurricane.

We're recording many of those pieces this summer and I decided to bribe Doc and the other engineers with Shiner Bock in hopes of getting some tuba sound on the album.
