Visit the Tuba Exchange. Vince has quite a lot of interesting horns to play.

Listing of interesting cultural events are found in the Independent. Most of the good music venues are listed.

Music Calendar is here

Hi Ben,

Our Triangle Brass Band http://www.trianglebrass.org/ has a pops concert at 4 PM on the 3rd at Galloway Ridge, which is about 10 miles south of Chapel Hill. If you come to the concert, please say hi to the guys in the tuba section, and we can show you some good spots for a cold one afterwards if you like.

Exactly! It is always nice to be able to travel for free.
(And geeky as it may sound, some conferences are in fact quite interesting.)

I have seen some people in this forum have complaints about the Tuba Exchange. They have done OK by me. They have customers all over the United States and in various parts of the world. (No, I didn't get them to send a tuba to Vietnam!)

Hey, Ben- as it turns out, we got rained out. It was an outdoor concert, and it rained so much last night the ground was too soft, so we're having to re-schedule. I hope you enjoy your time in NC.
