The 30H and SH II were designed by Scott Laskey. The 30 H is based on the SH II design with some updates. To me the 30H has a slightly meatier bottom end. The SH II might be ever so slightly brighter. I own both and have used both on various horns. For me, I prefer the SH II on my Hirsbrunner HB-2p. I don't use the 30H much right now. I use my PT-88 on my MW 2000.

The 30H and SH II are very close. If you can get a chance to audition several 30H's back to back then do so. Just like instruments, two mouthpieces of the same model can play differently.
