Are there any tuba recordings of the Bach Cello Suites? I know there are a few arrangements, as well as the original, I am just curious if any tuba players have ever recorded an entire suite or the whole collection.
Thanks for any input!

or even more interesting, listen to Yo-Yo Ma or another Cello player play them- very interesting perspectives and might provoke some inspiration.

I recommend Pablo Casals. Too often tubists view the 'cello suites as technical exercises, rather than beautiful, expressive pieces of music. I would think it better to emulate the original anyway.

I seem to remember hearing that Don Harry informally recorded the cycle way back in the day. Suposedly, these recordings are quite the listen as Mr. Harry utilizes a fair bit of circular breathing in order to overcome the phrasing challenges. As you would expect with a story like this, I have no idea of how to go about finding these recordings other than to contact Mr. Harry himself.
This is pure anecdotal info that may not be true at all or might just be some type of exaggerated myth that has become lore through years of retelling over pizza and malted beverages, so please take with the usual shaker of salt.

Nope, the Don Harry bit is true. He is the master of circular breathing, and actually performs the cello suites fairly often. I don't know of any official recordings or anything, but contact him if you want.

Surely someone has recorded them on tuba?
Meanwhile, here are a couple of helpful links I located whilst searching:
