The press release has a picture of Chris Olka, who posts here on occasion, so maybe he will offer some comments and answer some questions about it.
Mine: The release mentioned this is a 6/4 CC "Classic American Orchestral Tuba". Is this horn a new version of the one dubbed the "Yamayork" or an all new horn?

Yes, the 826S is the Yamayork.

I've had the pleasure of hearing Chris Olka solo twice on this instrument. Anyone who thinks a BAT cannot be a fantastic solo instrument would be otherwise persuaded upon hearing Chris whip through the Handel Variations on The Harmonious Blacksmith--glorious sound and great agility.

I agree. A 6/4 has no business being as efficient and agile as this one! When I played it, I compared it to my 4/4 Nirschl (not 6/4) and I was amazed at how easily it played even compared to a 4/4 whose big draw for me was the efficiency (one of the draws at any rate).

If you're curious as to how the Yamayork stacks up against some other horns:

Haven't played Chris' horn in particular, though.
