I have been playing around with a different sound. I like it but am looking for some critique or suggestions.

From the little I heard, I think you're on to something really cool! I've always thought that a tuba played in a such a way would sound great. I love the thinking behind your music, and that's half the battle. Keep doing what you're doing!

Wow That Stuart Dempster guy is great.

I have been playing with some synthasizer keyboard guys and that sound is very similar to what we are doing.

I was trying not to use the diggarydoo sound but more of a back throated wind.

Though playing a tuba as a didge is way cool. The circular breathing is tough.

OMG---Stuart Dempster. That's a name from my past. He and I played together in 1961 in the 91st Division Army Reserve Band at Presido of San Francisco.

He was a seriously fantastic bass trombonist. Stu was a Berkeley kid and seemed not to have much, uhm, reverence for military service or discipline, but he was a real asset to the band. There was a zany side to his personality. He made some VERY good fart sounds on his bass trombone. Also in his repertoire were sounds to accompany a sloshy drunk wavering down the street. Stu would have been perfect for a group like the Spike Jones band.

He proberbly would have been great in the Spiked Kool Aid Band too. You know those Berkley kids in the 60's
