Sometime over the course of my tuba time, I've seen a list that compiled about the occurances of orchestral excerpts. It was divided into three catagories and had percentages for each excerpt in relation to its appearance over the auditions surveyed.

Point being, does anyone have it?

I have played for many orchestral auditions and was never asked to play exactly the same thing twice. Your best bet is to grab hold of any parts with tuba in them. Abe Torchinsky's complete tuba parts are great. Just understand that the role of the tuba in the orchestra is different than the role in a band. You don't usually play that often... although there are some pieces you wish you could stop playing! (Brahms' German Requiem is a good example!)
