The WWBW post got my memory going. The new store is great, and Roger keeps the place well stocked, as did Charlie. But how many of you (me having grown up in Naperville, Ill 2hours away) had the fun chance to go to the first store and head dowstairs to the tuba dungeon? that room was great! Basically a small basement that was PACKED to the ceiling with tubas. I purchased my first couple tubas out of that room!
I'm sure that a trip to Baltimore Brass would give the same 'tuba jitters' without the cramped quarters!!
Back then you could always find a couple good Boehm and Meinls laying around also!
The good ole' days.....
