It's been a few decades, but I'm pretty certain Bach's Cantata 51 is for soprano and trumpet. How are your high chops? (down an octave, of course!)

The Mozart Concert Aria for Bass, "Per questa bella mano" has a string bass/cello obbligato part that's quite virtuosic. No reason it couldn't be edited for euph. It's certainly been played on tuba.

Then there's Schubert's "Der Hirt auf dem Felsen" for soprano and clarinet. Down an octave, it should work on euph.

These are the only specific titles that occur to me at the moment. But any baroque era aria for voice and continuo could be made to work. Voice, harpsichord (or organ), euph playing the cello continuo line.

At the regional ITEC in Memphis, I believe it was Denis Winter and his wife who performed a piece originally for trombone and soprano. I could be be mistaken, but I think Eric Ewazen wrote it for Charlie Vernon. The piece may have been called "A Summer's Journey."

actually i have had good success with some one singing with me. theres a little girl at my church who was singing and her brother wanted me to play my horn. so we sang and played church hymms out of our book. She's pretty small, so surely you could find something that would work. its really fun.

Look for Cello with voice parts. The cello part should lie pretty well on the euph.

There are a couple of pieces by Percy Grainger that you might consider. I went through my "stuff" a couple of weeks ago and ran acrossa couple of duets. I found a violin & cello piece and a soprano & tenor piece. Either would make a nice transcription.

Of course, these are not showpieces but like all Grainger works, interesting settings which explore tonal color.

My professor just played a piece for Tuba and Soprano...can't remember what it was called. It was very silly...I had a hard time not laughing.

One line in particular....

"he plays the tuba like Roger BoBo..."

Silly, but cool.
