Want to play test a Euphonium

Hello TubeNetters,

I would very much like to play test a Weril 980. I have heard great things about them. I want a horn to play church offertories. I want good quality sound, similar to the Yamaha 321, but on a budget. I'm afraid to purchase without play testing one. Does anybody know of a dealer who actually has them in stock within the below radius of Texarkana? Or if you live near Texarkana and you own a Weril 980, please PM me if I could drop by and play test your horn.

Thanks!

Bob1062,

I'll have to look into the Tuba Exchange horns. I noticed that they have a 21 day return policy. Anybody else have experience with the TE-1300? Parts shouldn't be a problem as long as TE exists. Here is a link to a thread since Bob1062 brought it up.

I'm wide open for suggestions.

Eric,
Check Dave Werden's site. There are a couple of threads on the TE non-comp that runs about $900.
