A HUGE Congratulations to Pete Link, winner of the Principal Tuba position with the Sendai Philharmonic, one of the premiere tuba positions in Japan. Pete along with his wife Megumi have been living in Chicago for the past 5 or so years. Some of Pete's notable teachers have been Kyoshi Sato (Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra), Floyd Cooley, and Gene Pokorny.
Pete met his wife Megumi while stationed in Japan with the U.S. Army Band.
Please wish he and his wife a much deserved congratulations as they move back East.

Pete is well-deserving of this position. He has sounded good for a long time and he has paid his dues in alot of ways. On top of that he is a nice guy. "Make a difference" as Stephen Coveys writes. I think Pete will. Cheers, Northern
congrats

I enjoyed Pete's playing at the faculty recital at NITES in Seattle last January. He's a fine tubist and a nice guy besides. I wish him the very best.

Great News Pete-
Now we need to have an official Micky Wrobleski type going away party at my house. You can start digging your way to Japan, when you get the hole half way there, we'll throw your tuba down to you!
