Older Miraphone Baritone Question

Hi Russ,
I have a 5 rty Mirafone oval bariton (I believe it is a true euphonium because of the graduated bore throughout the valve section).
The bore is about the same as yours & i think it is a early 70s vintage.
The tone is great, but it needs a deep mpc to darken the tone.
The horn valve graduation seems to be similar to Mirafone tubas of that era.
