Request for Metronome Manufacturers
It would be really nice to have a jack to attach an optional foot pedal that when pressed would increment the bpm by an amount settable by the user. (e.g for every press of the pedal, the bpm would increase by 4 bpm.)

The two metronomes that come to mind when it comes to foot pedals.
Yamaha's Clickstation
and
Dr. Beat DB-90
Not sure about the increase in BPM, but you may be able to program it...

I still have my wind-up Seth Thomas and Yamaha metronomes my parents bought for me 35 years ago. The Yamaha is a non-electrical, non-battery version of the Dr. Beat. You can't really program it the way you can Dr. Beat, but it's good for consistent meters of 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, and multiples thereof. The Seth Thomas just ticks. Both of mine are plastic.
