Weighed mine to ship it, and it weighed around 34 pounds or so. The tuba with gig bag weighs 40 pounds i know that.

Bathroom scales are not accurate in the bottom 10% of their range. They could be off by several pounds one way or the other.

You can solve that problem by weighting yourself holding the tuba, and then weighing yourself after setting the tuba aside. The difference is the weight of the tuba. You'll get a much more accurate measurement using bathroom scales with that method.

Oh man! One reason I became a tuba player is so I wouldn't be expected to do any math! :P

My Wilson 3400S weighs 24 lbs. Its listed specification weight is 11kg. so I think I have the weight right. I went back to playing Eb after 47 years of playing BBb because I was getting old and my Hirsbrunner, 11.7kg., was too heavy for me to want to handle it. Glad I saved the extra pound and a half. Life is much better, now.

Using the RDSM (Rick Denney Subtraction Method) my 184 5U CC weighs 17 lbs w/ mpc, and my 182 F weighed in at 15.

Both light enough for me to handle without busting a gut.

I seem to recall that the 20J I had for a time was about 28 or 30 pounds. I did weight it for shipping, but that's the best I can remember. I may have been as high as 32 pounds, but I don't think so.

How much does it weigh?
15.5 pounds, without mouthpiece, on a home bathroom scale (could be off by 5% or so)
So, that was what started this whole thing.
I decided to use the RDSM and see just how accurate my original reading of the Weimar was. Guess what? - 15.5 pounds still!
(And, man oh man, am I fat :( )
KaliBat is at work (aka practice facility) but I will have to do the RDSM on it next time it is in the apt.
