Sousaphones get no better than a Conn 14k.
Look up Harv Hartmann?? in the archives. He is in Pennsylvania and is highly underrated as a restorer of Sousaphones. Maybe he can ship you one that he has restored. But he is one man, one bulldog and one little shop so he may not have anything. Also look up ebay seller nikkibor123456. He has a lot of vintage refurbished sousies he will ship worldwide.

they recently had 4 14Ks at Dillon's, I bought one and it was a really good deal! also, ebay.com always has interesting sousaphones.
if you buy a beat up one, you might get a good deal, but then invest around 300-700 euros for an overhaul depending on the condition of the horn.
there is a dealer in Düsseldorf who also has 14Ks, he did not answer my e-mails and he was really nasty to my alto sax colleague who bought a horn from him and returned it after it did not work out in an ensemble. (pm me if you need the name)
otherwise, I recommend that you buy in the states. I checked ebay for over a year before I found what I was looking for.
in Europe sousaphones are very expensive unless you want to settle for a cerveny-type helicon.
ok, shipping is expensive from the states, but the euro is currently worth $0.72!!
happy shopping!!

I believe you might have that currency conversion turned around backwards.
No doubt!

I apologize to Porter the boxer. I was thinking of possibly Sweeney the bulldog maybe.
