Hey Tubenetters,
Can anyone suggest a flashy, fun to listen to solo for tuba and band? An easy accompanimant? Something along the lines of Carnival of Venice?

I remember playing "Variations on Cobbler's Bench" (ie pop goes the weasel) by Arthur Frackenpohl. The band parts were quite easy, definitely flashy and fun to listen to. It's not all that long though... which can be a good thing.

The Sheridan & Pilafian arrangement of Black & Tan has a good but fairly easy band part to put together with the solo having lots of room for improve.
