Standing tuba rest

Post by Tubadork »

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience using a standing tuba rest. I like to stand when I play, but it's a bit much on my back and the straps that I rigged up kinda scratch up my horns. I know that K&M makes one, but has anyone had any luck with other brands and where can I get it. I know that Baltimore Brass has the K&M stand, but was the only one that I could find.
thanks,
Bill Pritchard

Sumner Erickson has used a Wenger tuba tamer with the PSO for over a decade. He might be a good person to ask.
