I agree it plays well...in fact, so well that I bought it from David on Saturday. This was one of the best shopping experiences i have ever had. The entire group at Baltimore Brass was friendly and extremly helpful. I'll be heading back next month to have the linkage changed....cant wait!

Adam,
You are correct about that Marzan being a really good tuba. I was in Baltimore Brass Company when the gentleman that bought the tuba was testing it. The Marzan went to someone who will do it justice (he sounded real good on it). A trip to Baltimore Brass is (in my opinion) always worth it, very impressive business all around. Also, the repair services are excellent. I bring my tubas to Baltimore Brass for repair; that is putting my money, and in this case my tubas, where my mouth is.

I don't know anything about Ryan's playing, however, I was there a few weeks ago to get a "spare" horn, and when I played the Marzan, the sound made me want to play BBb again. Lucky for you Ryan, I found a horn that suits me better cause that one really sounds great. And, Baltimore Brass is unbeleivably great, long drive from NYC and worth a drive 2x as long.
