Manning appointed to the University of Iowa

John Manning has been appointed the new Assistant Professor of tuba and euphonium at the University of Iowa. A founding member of the Atlantic Brass Quintet, and currently on the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Manning will be joining the UI faculty in August of 2004.

Mr. Manning was recently featured on the College Teachers Recital at the U.S. Army Band Tuba Euphonium Conference in January 2004. He also served as the host for NeRTEC; the Northeastern Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference in March 2003. John is a Yamaha performing artist and principal tubist for the Vermont and Albany (NY) Symphony Orchestras.
