Since I don't inhabit the lowest trenches below concert F below open BBb, except for just the occasional Eb or D to round out a final chord, and then it's totally optional, I actually prefer (see my signature) the 3-valve comp instead: less weight, same tone, actually can be better in tune with itself than a 4-valve, which has the same intonation problems as a conventional 4-valve until you get to multivalve combinations with 4, starting with B nat, E nat, and lower.

when you click "weiter" and then "Instrumente" you´ll get to their (quite extensive) small-ad-section. As far as I remember, there are 3 or 4 compensated horns in this list, including 2 Besson BBbs.
Lots of cool horns, there, but sadly no 6/4 CC

Sorry to hear that you couldn´t find what you wanted.
I figured it was worth a try, anyways.
I wouldn´t mind 50+ years old horns in good technical condition, if operation AND sound were sufficient.

As to the CC-horns:
I´ve been playing CC for three years now, so no advertising needed anymore. Jon had brought his EEb only, anyways. He´d have been welcome to use my PT20.
I´m simply considering the purchase of another (LARGER) CC-tuba for special purposes.
