Hi Michael,
I will wade in as a customer of yours, I so far have found
my M&M BBb 4 RV Tuba to be a fine horn, it's not perfect,I hear
of good Europeon brands having faults and being inconsistent
in playability.
It has good workmanship and excellent bracing throughout.
For the money and for what music I play,
it has suited the bill fine. I used this at a intensive 3 full day
Brass Festival, It was heard by Jeffery Reynolds, who is
Bass Trombonist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and
he would've said something if the horn was putting out
sub-par music. I consided the Allora 186, the Weril J680,
and I went with the M&M, because other people were
using them to play in good Civic and Professional Dance bands,
Yes, it is'nt a Rudy or a Hirsbrunner, but it did'nt cost me what
those would set me back.

Michael, who makes the M&M tubas? I've heard that the horns made by Beijing Deyong are showing promise, are the M&M from them?

And have the Chinese learned to make a decent piston-valve tuba?

Politically, it depends. Taiwan or Chinese Taipei, take your pick.
