Composers shouldn't think too much -- it interferes with their plagiarism.

I recently took the tuba part in Sibelius Lemminkainen's return with Nottingham Symphony Orchestra www.wbford.fsnet.co.uk
It’s not technically challenging but as it is Sibelius particular attention is required to the quality and control of the low brass sound.
