Does anyone know who is playing with Pittsburgh Symphony now? I heard that previous tuba player left.

From what I heard, and please correct me if I am wrong, that he is pursuing a career in Punk Rock somewhere in Texas.

I think maybe you are confusing Sumner with his brother, Roky, of "The 13th Floor Elevators" ???

Sumner has been on an extended leave of absence, and Eric Bubascz has been doing an absolutely amazing job with the PSO. I went to most of their concerts this past season, and had a lesson with Eric. He is a fantastic musician, and hearing him with that brass section is just wonderful.

Ask him about a piano at Eastman.
The story is now legendary.
