Hey!
Does anyone have any experience dealing with turnaround time with Walt Johnson? How long?
I gotta get one of these... The 70lb (empty!) anvil crate I use is killing me...
OR... does anyone know of any great FLIGHT READY alternatives to the Johnson??
Thanks

Re: Walt Johnson Cases turnaround time
Johnson Cases is a small operation; time to delivery depends on the business climate and the season. A month is not an unreasonable expectation, but be warned it can take longer.tubajoe wrote:Hey!

But WJ cases aren't light either--they've got a fiberglass shell and that's what gives the protection.

That horn would take a medium sized tuba case from Walt Johnson. I That size can fit in the back seat of most automobiles. Try doing that with most anvil cases.tubajoe wrote:Forgot to mention -- this is for Maximus, the 'vintage' Mirafone 186 CC --
Walt Johnson Cases are the defacto standard for hard cases IMO.
