Same piece, different interpretation. On the program notes for his second release of Encounters II, Bobo himself says: "This work was first recorded in 1969 on Crystal Records S125 'Roger Bobo Plays'. It was chosen again for this album not only because of its significance among compositions written for [Bobo], but that in the ten years since the first recording my concept of the work has significantly changed."
Practice and develop the one you have. It's the ONLY one. Also maybe don't be afraid to be a bit interpretive -- Roger certainly has been.
