Has anyone else before Carol ever won the "Triple Crown" of Tuba Competitions (Markneukirchen, ITEC Artist, and Falcone Artist)?
Certainly not at the age of 19!
Incredible...and all within the space of a few months.
Congratulations, Carol.

Yes, they were in a car accident around St. Louis. All five people from UNT were in one vehicle, euphoniums and all. It wasn't the driver's fault, and her SUV flipped and is totalled. Amazingly, no one was hurt, and there was only one small dent in one of the euphoniums that wouldn't affect the playability of the horn. They rented another SUV in St. Louis, and continued their trip to the competition....crazy.
