Mira 1291 / 1292 CC in DC or Baltimore area ?

Post by kingrob76 »

Hi -

If you have a Miraphone 1291 or 1292 CC in the DC / Baltimore area and you wouldn't mind lending out a helping hand, I'd like to catch up with you at some point soon and try out your horn. I'm having a hard time tracking down a sample of these horns without making a road trip. I promise not to take up more than 30 minutes or so of your time and come to you. Heck, I'll even supply you with a 6-pack of your favorite tasty beverage in exchange for your time.

I'm considering one of these based on the favorable opinions and words from many people, but I need to see what I'm getting into before moving ahead at this point.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If you can wait until the end of January I am sure there will be some on display at the Army Tuba Conference.

Well, yeah ;-) It's a good "buffet" of things to try, but sometimes it's not always easy to get a true feel for an instrument in the exhibitor room with so much going on. Not only was I trying to beat the time curve by a month or so but I was hoping to play in a bit more "subtle" setting.
