What's all this talk about being horny for a month? Most of us have been horny for a lot longer than that. And furthermore, why are you complaining?

OK. Seriously. I can understand your frustration. So, exactly what is happening with the shipping of the horn? What did they promise you? Have you contacted them? I'm sure you realize how busy our UPS and FedEx friends are at this time of year.

Yeah, that is true.

The thing I really hope though is that as you said, it has been sitting. It kinda bothers me that they had it on display, because if they did, then people were probably testing it. I just hope they didn't have it out and people playing on it.(Haha, I think I am just too protective. )

Well, if it really bothers you, ask for compensation. Nuthin' too big, maybe a mouthpiece or gig bag at cost.

That would be North Carolina and I think all those problems were suppose to come with the horn..... lets hope they didn't fix them someone might be disappointed

I don't see the problem except they are further away than Tubadome from Chicago. We received all our gear (from three booths) on Thursday this past week and I shipped a couple of the horns out on Friday.

I know we had to ship all our stuff for the displays about a month before the show. They may have had to do the same and perhaps the horn was already in Chicago when you purchased it?

The unions do control the set-up and tear down progress. We received our last skid of cases around 7:30 that evening. We received the other 2 skids at about 4:30 so we sat around a lot waiting for stuff to happen.

I had a roommate back in grad school that had a similar problem - had to go about 3 weeks w/o a horn, then right in to placement auditions and lessons w/ Sam Pilafian.
He played on his mouthpiece consitently. Matched pitches with a piano. Never stopped his practice routine.
When his horn arrived, there was a brief adjustment period - like 2 minutes or so - then according to him, he had never sounded better.

Am I the only one that always see the thread title as "Homeless for a month!"?
