Just looking for new/fresh ideas for a tuba demo at an elementary school. What do you guys usually play?

When I play I have to keep it under a minute. SO I just play some Super Mario... Always a fun one... Though I am not sure the same piece is being played on the videogames..

Stuff things down the bell before you go an and when you start up make funny noises - ape noises and the like, pulling the stuffings out as you go. I did a can of beans and fart noises for older kids once and that really cut them up. Then any of the Jungle Book tunes works great...

We did the Imperial Death March, the kids loved it and the staff got a kick out of it.

Frolic by Fisher Tull is a good tune for wowsing the kiddies! With much room for expression and obscene dynamic contrast it certainly can keep their attention, (assuming you pump the energy into it). I have played this piece countless times with MBQ over the past six years and it never gets old.
