Kosikup mouthpieces

Post by Tortuba »

Does anyone know if Kosikup mouthpieces are still being manufactured?

If recently found my 40 year old B&H Kosikup (1 1/2) that I used when I was in high school. I tried out it on my PT1 stencil horn and I was surprised how well it felt and sounded. But, this old mpc is pretty beat up and the shank is damaged, so I would like to find a replacement or a modern day equivalent.

So, anyone know if Kosikup still available after 40 years? If not, what's the closest equivalent?

If money's no object, several mouthpiece manufacturers offer duplication services.

Yes, best to get it repaired, these were stopped back in the 70's by B&H when the Wicks came out.

I still have my one from school and give it a fond look at now and again.
